Call for Proposals for CNIE 2017 | Appel de propositions pour le congrès du RCIÉ 2017

[ce message est bilingue] Call for Proposals for CNIE 2017 The Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE) is soliciting proposals from Canadian post-secondary institutions to host, or co-host, its 2017 Annual Conference. We would be honoured if your institution would consider preparing a proposal, or perhaps teaming up with a local institution to create a collaborative proposal, to host this prestigious event. Each year the CNIE Conference attracts approximately 100 to 200 top-notch educators, educational developers, and partnering companies and institutions from across the country and beyond, thus presenting the host campus with the opportunity to showcase its institution’s approach to the challenges and rewards of innovation in education. Proposals must be emailed to CNIE secretariat by February 26th, 2016.  The Board of Directors will begin reviewing proposals during Board Meetings in March and April with the decision made in May to allow us to present the location of the 2017 conference at our 2016 conference in Waterloo. CNIE Membership Fee Announcement

We have reduced our fees for 2015/2016! CNIE plays an integral role in innovation in education at a national level, we believe that the key to the strength of any organization is its membership – that means you!  To provide an environment that respects our membership and looks to the future we have changed our membership fees for 2015/2016: Regular Membership is now only $110 Student Membership is now only $40 Did you know that if your organization purchases an organizational membership you get four membership positions, which are transferrable throughout the year.  Additional members are $110 per member. These memberships are provided for educational institutions at all levels. Interested in a corporate membership?  Corporations may become active members at a cost of $1000 per year which will include free advertising at CNIE sponsored events.

Message From VP December 2014

CNIE Blog (December 2014) As the Vice President of CNIE I’d like to welcome everyone to our monthly news! Members of our board will strive to provide you news regarding our association, upcoming events and interesting news from our desks in regards to innovation in education. Our 2015 conference… A quick update on our upcoming conference in 2015; as you may have noticed this year is our first year of working with the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education (CAUCE) to provide you with access to a joint event. Hosted by the University of Manitoba we hope you will join us for Beyond Diversity: Learning and Working in an Inclusive World this coming May. It is our hope that by collaborating with CAUCE that we can provide our members with a rich variety of speakers and presenters over the course of the three day conference. eCampusAlberta… Alberta’s provincial consortium, eCampusAlberta, supports online programming across our province’s public post-secondary institutions. There are some great resources available from this consortium including a monthly PD webinar. They also record the sessions and archive them – these sessions are all available through the eCampusAlberta Online Professional Development Events site at:http://moodle.ecampusalberta.ca/groups/course/view.php?id=11; I presented in November on designing online programs.
